GHARP Projects

200 litre bucket kitThe Greater Horn of Africa Rainwater Partnership (GHARP) works  in Ethiopia, Kenya, Somalia, and Uganda. Individual member organisations implement their own projects, and there are also collaborative cross-regional GHARP projects where the organisations work in partnership. In 2003, a USAID-funded GHARP regional project was successful in evaluating the performance of rainwater harvesting systems in the GHA and in  promoting best practices in water management in order to enhance food security and water availability.
