ABOUT RHAT

Tanzania had a National rainwater secretariat from which an association incorporating all stakeholders in the water sector was formed. In 1997, Tanzania Rainwater Association (TRA) was formed in Dodoma Tanzania. The management committee latter changed the name to Rainwater Harvesting Association of Tanzania (RHAT) to avoid confusion with Tanzania Revenue Authority. In June 2000 the following agreements were reached:

• To accelerate registration

• To make a constitution, which has been competed as of now.
